Awakening finally arrived at Sheffield !!!
We are holding our week long adoration at St. Patrick's Church. As agreed with the parish priest Fr Peter Hurley, the exposition of blessed sacrament started a 9:00am. The first day was a wonderful experience for all those who attended. As this was the first parish event held by Jesus Youth in Sheffield, we had our doubts about the parishioners reaction. But who can doubt our LORD? We were amazed, as there was good number of local involvement from the start to midnight.
We had good support from Fr. Peter Hurley as he had taken the initiative by publishing the Awakening news in the Diocesan news paper, Hallam News. Further notices were also given in the weekly newsletter at St. Marie's Cathedral Church. The local Malayalam prayer group have also been very supportive.
By our Lord's grace, the second day has been consistent so far. We are hoping and praying that the spirit of Awakening will make a real change to our Sheffield region. We request everyones prayer for this and be assured that all of you will be specially remembered in our prayers.
