We started our 100 days of Grace with a Prayer campaign by actively participating in the
50 days round the clock Eucharistic Adoration in Vatican (From Ash Wednesday to Easter) followed by “Awakening” - 50 day round the clock Eucharistic Adoration in UK (From Easter Monday to Pentecost Day). The weekly reflections also helped us prepare ourselves for this great day.
For “Awakening” we had more than 500 people who came over during these 50 days. It was a time were each one of us witnessed numerous miracles and blessings in our lives, our families, ministries and the Church here in UK. This initiative had been a spark that has resulted in various zonal teams like Birmingham, Bolton, Liverpool, London, Cardiff, etc plan Eucharistic Adorations zonally for such longer periods along with the local Church and other youth movements, specially during this Jubilee year.
This initiative has also got a new hope and light to the Jesus Youth movement & Church in UK with the commitment and work of our youth who have taken fulltime and partime commitments to support this initiative. They have taken challenging commitments and have been great witnesses to the youngsters here. A special thanks to the team who worked behind this initiative!!
We were graced with the presence of His Excellency Bishop Malcolm McMahon (Bishop of Nottingham and the chair of the Department of Evangelisation & Catechesis of the Bishops Conference), Rev. Fr. John Joe Maloney (Episcopal Vicar of Leicestershire & Rutland),
We were graced with the presence of His Excellency Bishop Malcolm McMahon (Bishop of Nottingham and the chair of the Department of Evangelisation & Catechesis of the Bishops Conference), Rev. Fr. John Joe Maloney (Episcopal Vicar of Leicestershire & Rutland),
Msgr. John Lally, Fr. Paul Nelikulam (Parish priest – Mother of God Church, venue of the 50 days Adoration), Fr. Marcel Fangoo & Fr. Joel to celebrate the Recommitment day Mass for us. We were also blessed to have with us Manoj chettan & family with us for the entire day.
We had plans to invite the His Excellency, but we did not do so initially as it was late when we had our final plans for the day sorted. It was a great miracle for us when His Excellency called and asked if he could come and celebrate the Mass for us and give a surprise to the Jesus Youth of UK. Praise God for all His blessings!!
We had around 450 Jesus Youth who came over yesterday to recommit their lives to Jesus and, His mission through the Jesus Youth Movement to be at the service of the Church.
We started the day with a fellowship over lunch followed by the Recommitment day Liturgy & Awakening conclusion Adoration, May Day procession along with the deanery, Session by Manoj Sunny & the Recommitment day Mass and anointing Prayer. It was such an anointed time when His Excellency and all the Priests anointed and Prayer over every person who came and also when His Excellency led the Recommitment day Prayer & Jubilee Prayer with great passion. His opening statement on Jesus Youth was quite uplifting for every Jesus Youth who came.
A few of us also got some time for discussion over dinner with His Excellency who has expressed all his appreciation and support for our work as a missionary movement at the service of the Church.
These 100 days have truly brought in great Awakening to the Jesus Youth of UK.
Love and Prayers
